Evostock Stock Photography

I am very excited to announce that my stock images will be available at Evostock.  “Stock photography by professionals,” Evostock is an online collective of highly creative professional photographers and visual artists providing clients one place to search across a large edited collection of high quality stock imagery.  I currently have several photos of New York City available and more will be added soon.

From the Evostock press release -

“A growing collective of professional stock artists calling themselves Evostock is turning the status quo on its head. They are building a new business model for stock image distribution which cuts the traditional and often times dominant middlemen, stock agencies out of the system. Many stock artists are saying goodbye to Getty Images and Corbis and seeking more profitable and sustainable methods to efficiently market, distribute, and license their imagery directly to customers.

Evostock, a Virtual Agency created on Photoshelter technology, plans to grow its virtual image collection and number of worldwide members to a critical mass. Once that critical mass is reached they intend to leverage those numbers in the marketplace to completely bypass the need for the expensive and outdated stock agency system which has dominated stock artists and the industry at large in the past.

Tim McGuire, a professional stock photographer based in Seattle, is the Virtual Agencies Founder and Administrator.  Tim say’s “After 15 years in this industry I couldn’t see a viable business for stock  creators going forward with the big agencies.  They keep on taking more of the revenue from my work and at the same time charge their customers less and less.  My expenses weren’t going down but my income was and so were the incomes of most of my colleagues. I started looking for a way to remove the middleman from the equation and Evostock is what I came up with.”
